The street is very quaint. The street is fairly narrow and filled with shops. If you are looking If you are looking for restaurants then choose another street. A narrow street in the historical center of Maastricht that over the years has become the main shopping area in the city. Shopping is not high on my list of things to do when I travel as I am much more interested in the history of a place. However the Stokstraat satisfies that part of my travel experience. We strolled down here while not many others were On a Sunday morning this popular highend pedestrian shopping street was almost empty so - great time for window shopping, especially for women's clothing, some shoes and bags, and men's wear.
The shops are boutiques rather than well known chain stores so the shop windows A nice area, very picturesque with a large variety of shops.
Prices range accordingly and there is something for anyone. I really enjoyed it. Stopped at the Tourist Info Center and purchased their walking tour guide. Lovely narrow lanes, interesting facades on homes, and lots of blooming flowers.
